What's cooking, Chef?

We're building an anti-ableist restaurant guide, and we need your help. We are creating a restaurant accessibility form that community members will be able to use to review restaurants. We’ll use those responses to build a guide that makes it easier to know what to expect before you ever walk through the door.

You can contribute to the guide here: https://forms.gle/WNfGmM4gXpTVVoGu5

Why?

Going out to eat shouldn’t require hours of research. But for many disabled, immunocompromised, and COVID-conscious people, trying a new restaurant can mean calling ahead, digging through photos, checking entrances, figuring out bathroom access, or wondering if an accommodation will be respected.

We want to put that information in one place, so you can spend less time figuring out whether you can get through the door and more time deciding what you want for dinner.

What will it include?

It will include information on:

  • Getting there

  • Getting inside

  • Moving around

  • Seating

  • Bathroom

  • Sensory Environment

  • Menu & Communication

  • Food & Allergen Access

  • COVID-Conscious Dining
